World Heritage Day

“It is not the honour that you take with you, but the heritage you leave behind”

Heritage helps us examine our history and traditions and enables us develop an awareness about ourselves. It helps us understand and explain why we are the way we are. It is a keystone of our culture that plays an important role in our politics, society, business and world view.

On 18th April, the students of IHS celebrated World Heritage Day by engaging themselves in various activities. Grade V-VI students, relished dishes of different states. Grade VII-VIII students decorated paper bags and displayed their creativity by incorporating elements related to the wonders of the world. Grade IX-X students created an itinerary to visit world famous monuments. Grade XI and XII commerce and humanities students did a paper presentation on the commerce or trade links of the Roman and the Harappan civilization.

Grade XI and XII science students did a paper presentation highlighting carbon dating and half-life as an important tool available to scientists who study ancient history.
