“The study of Mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence.” ~Charles Caleb Colton
Mathematics is an integral part of life and we see it everywhere in our day- to day life. But with its complexities, it can become a little tedious to some. Concepts taught through activities are easier to understand and also more enjoyable. Students of Grade III were introduced to Fractions and for better understanding, did an activity on the same. They drew different shapes on a sheet and divided all the shapes into different fractions. Through this they understood how parts of a thing make it a whole. They were also introduced to new terms like numerator, denominator, and division line.
