“To ensure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.” ~William Londen
Healthy habits help children grow up happy and healthy as well as contribute to preventing future health problems. They are hard to develop and often require changing ones mindset; but the positive impact can be far-reaching.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) conducted an online workshop on Healthy Habits on 7th December 2021 for the students of Imperial Heritage School across Grades I- IX, as part of their Achi Aadat Campaign. JICA has been actively cooperating for economic growth, poverty reduction and environment conservation in India. The India office of this organisation launched the Achi Aadat Campaign in January 2021 where good habits specially related to health and hygiene are being propagated. This campaign by JICA was not just specially worthy during the covid period, but it was equally important for children to be aware of good health and hygiene practices.
Ms. Sayaka Ochida, Programme Specialist, JICA India and Ms. Mala Dhar from IJ Kaleshashi conducted the session and made it very interactive. The students went back with a better understanding of the importance of healthy habits in life.
