Jallianwala Day Activity Grade V-XII

“The blood spilled at Jallianwala Bagh has not gone in vain. It has become the seed of India' s independence.” – Mahatma Gandhi

To commemorate the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and deepen students’ understanding of its historical impact, a series of educational activities were conducted across Grades V to XII on 11 April 2025. These were aimed at nurturing historical awareness, critical thinking, and empathy among students through age-appropriate engagement.

Grades V and VI students created vibrant theme boards reflecting the tragic event. They created a timeline of the events and discussed the same.

For Grades VII and VIII students, a comprehensive quiz was held, covering the date, location, and significance of the massacre.

Grades IX and XII students participated in group discussions on Gandhiji’s response and the broader national impact, the Rowlatt Act and Khilafat Movement and the Jallianwala Bagh Inquiry Committee and the role of leaders.
