Our UKG kids engaged in various exciting activities to master CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) words. We used a range of innovative Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) to make the learning process both fun and effective. The children enjoyed using the digital 'Spin the Wheel', which introduced them to new CVC words in an interactive way. They also participated in picture reading and flash card reading activities, which helped reinforce their vocabulary through visual aids and repetition.
Additionally, 'The Odd One Out' games challenged their cognitive skills, as they had to identify words that didn't belong in a given group. This not only enhanced their understanding of CVC words but also developed their analytical thinking.
The students further expanded their vocabulary by drawing pictures of new words directly on the smart board. This hands-on activity integrated art with language learning, making it an engaging and memorable experience. The interesting methodology employed in these activities ensured that the children remained engaged and enthusiastic about their learning journey.
