Every year, India celebrates Farmers' Day (Kisan Diwas) on December 23, honoring the backbone of our nation’s economy. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, India’s 5th Prime Minister, who began his journey as a farmer.
At IHS, our students commemorated this special day with a thought-provoking speech, shedding light on:
The crucial role of farmers in our society
Challenges faced by farmers, such as climate change and water scarcity
Technological advancements in agriculture
Organic vs. conventional farming practices
The impact of agricultural policies on farmers' lives
How the youth can contribute to and support agriculture
Let’s take a moment to appreciate our farmers and pledge to support them for a better and sustainable future!
