Grade VI interspersed ideas and stories of literature with creative visualization through art work. The story 'Children At Work' focussed about the evils of child labour and rag picking. The students drew a poster highlighting the idea that instead of tools of labour, all children should possess a pencil and notebook to further their academic lives. The timeless classic of adventure and civilisation Robinson Crusoe was also well liked by all. The students drew a concept map showing the provisions that the lone survivor transferred from ship to raft and onto the island.
Through such integrated activities, the stories are appreciated and remembered by the young learners.
