Doing and learning is learning for a lifetime- and the little ones of Nursery love to learn that way. The concepts of Big and Small and the shape of the Circle were introduced to them through hands on activities. The teacher related the concepts to their daily life and the children were able to make the connection. They used various mediums to create the circle- while some coloured on sheets; the others used paper cut outs or displayed the shape on the ground. Big and Small was easy to correlate with items around the house- the favourite being the comparison of toys.
