Grade VII A Assembly Rakshabandhan

कच्चे धागों का यह बंधन
बंध जाता है बचपन से
मरते दम तक साथ निभाए
बंध के रक्षाबंधन से

The students of Grade VII A conducted a Special Assembly to  celebrate Rakshabandhan

Raksha Bandhan, which translates to "bond of protection" or "knot of protection," is a festival that commemorates the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. On this day, sisters tie a rakhi (a decorative thread or band) on their brothers' wrists, symbolising their love, care, and prayers for their brothers' well-being and safety.

The students presented a foot tapping dance and a melodious song on this occasion and also discussed various stories behind Rakshabandhan.

The students also used the platform to celebrate Sanskrit Diwas, also known as Sanskrit Day, which is celebrated annually on August 22nd in India. The day is marked to commemorate the contributions of ancient Indian scholars and poets to the Sanskrit language.

The history of Sanskrit Diwas dates back to 1969 when the Indian government declared August 22nd as Sanskrit Day to promote and preserve the ancient language.

Everyone enjoyed *the assembly.

IHS conveys best wishes to everyone for Rakshabandhan and Sanskrit Diwas.
