“A bad handwriting is as annoying to a reader… as an irritating voice is to a listener.” ~ Mokokoma Mokhonoana
With the majority of written communications now typed, handwritten communications is becoming more and more outdated from everyday use. But handwriting is the most basic tool used for taking notes, doing homework, taking tests, doing classwork and for many other tasks. Therefore handwriting is a very essential skill. This skill is best developed in the formative years, while working on the fine motor skills. To further instill the importance of good handwriting, students of Grade I were engaged in an English Handwriting Competition and each one wanted to take this opportunity to showcase their best penmanship. In spite of being an online session, it was marvelous to see the concentration with which the little ones worked on their notebooks.
