SEWA activity

CBSE introduced SEWA takes learning beyond the walls of the classroom and sometimes even beyond the boundaries of the school, building bridges with the authentic and real world in meaningful and positive ways. Learners engaged in this program are expected to be life-long learners and through experiential learning develop as active citizens and caring and compassionate humans. The students of Grade X at Imperial Heritage School organized an activity called 'Bird Grain Pani Abhiyan' in the school premises under their SEWA initiative in the presence of Ms Meenakshi Saxenaa representative of Nav Kalp Foundation. Through this activity the spirit of service towards birds was awakened among the children and the children also pledged to keep the environment clean and hygienic. A message was also given to protect the extinct birds. ‘Bird Grain and Water Campaign’, was an opportunity to awaken the spirit of service in the students. With the association of Nav Kalp Foundation, a nest was installed by the students in the school courtyard and grain and water were poured in it. Children enthusiastically participated in this activity and were able to generate a sense of responsibility towards others.
