Learning by Doing helps build skills and confidence, as well as fosters an appreciation for the world around us. When we focus on acquiring new information through experience, it can help foster creativity and critical thinking.

While studying the chapter Our Extended Family in EVS, students of Grade IV did an activity to showcase the state they belonged to. For this activity they had to have discussions with various members of the extended family to gather information on the culture of their state. They presented the same in class by sharing their thoughts with the teacher and their peer group. They also got dishes from home that represented the special food of their state.

Believing in Caring is Sharing, the students also shared their food as they learnt a lot about the different states and the famous food. They also understood the value of extended family members and the support they can offer.
