International Exchange programs are meant to introduce fellow members of different communities to one another and to help them learn about International Youth Connections Meeting- Global Citizens Community was held on May 13th 2023 at 6:30pm. The Global meet was attended by the students from India, USA, Korea, Ghana, Morocco, Spain, Romania, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Indonesia, along with their facilitators.
This round of online cultural exchange between the students of Imperial Heritage school and the Global Citizen Community was conducted to learn more about each other’s cultures. Students of the similar age group, between 12 and 16 years, had a zoom session and shared information on cultures, living conditions and school experiences.
During this mesmerizing session, IHS student ambassador, Eshaan Vikram Singh of Grade X, gave an insight to Incredible India showcasing her vivid cultural heritage, regions ,food, religions, festivals and other factors of unity in diversity. Samaira Khandelwal of Grade VII gace a virtual school tour. Jasmin Kaur of Grade VII presented a dance which was delightful which was followed by two melodious compositions of music. Hridhay Punj of Grade X, sang a beautiful song while playing the guitar and Devansh Nehra of Grade IX graced the evening by playing Tabla . Finally Nikita Dahiya of Grade X impressed the audience with her shooting skills.
The other participating students enjoyed the session immensely, being very vocal in their desire to visit India and enjoy its rich culture.
Participants of other countries also showcased their culture and it was a highly informative and interactive session.
The evening session left the spectators awestruck and they expressed their gratitude for getting this opportunity to know cultures of different countries. The meeting ended on a high note with participants wanting to meet again and share more about their respective countries.
